On Tuesdays lesson we were told that the presentation the mr. Paterson did previously had over 100 slides and I was very shocked to hear that since the presentation went very smoothly and it was very interesting. This made me notice that the points he was making and the way he was presenting took all of my attention. I think this is a great thing because the listeners can have their full attention towards the presenters.  We also learned how to make surveys. I personally think surveys are very useful and important because you can know how other people think and feel a certain way towards the topic that you set. Using other people opinion could help broaden our knowledge and think from different perspectives!

Mr.paterson presented in front of the class using slides and talking about his house that he made with his family and friends. The key words that appeared in the presentation all had the same fonts and had the same design this made it easier to know what the next topic he would be talking about is. He included many pictures and videos that allowed us to imagine what kind of life he is living. It gave me an idea to also use many photos in our presentation for utilizing classroom spaces. During the class he mentioned that surroundings change your life and I thought that was very interesting. I also thought that dreaming big allows us to be more creative and change our mindsets to be positive. This made me want to challenge myself and constantly ask myself what challenges I can do

On 20th of May we learned more about utilizing the classroom space and I think I learned many things. In the middle of the class we went outside our school and pretended to be visitors which meant we didn’t know anything about our school. I noticed that there are various things around our school that would be inconvenient for people who come for the first time.  We noticed that the school map was hidden behind trees and people would not be able to get to their destination without a map. We also found out that we don’t know where the reception is which connects to the fact that we don’t know where the map is. Pretending to be visitors allowed me to notice the little problems we have in our school. I also learned about SPIDER and thought it was very interesting. It made me wonder how inconvenient our school design would be for people who don’t usually come here everyday. Using ideas from other perspectives enables a wide range of people to understand things more easily.

      On May 14th we separated into the groups that we will be working on from next week. Mr.paterson showed us a video about the problems around the world and I thought that having an interesting content is very important.  However, the way we present it is also important and gives different images to the people watching or listening. Our theme is about utilizing the classroom spaces.  After seeing a few videos and photos of various kinds of furniture that is very beneficial for classrooms , it made me realize how japan is late on the development of education.         When I lived in Thailand my school classroom table was laid out into small groups, so that it would be easier to hear different peoples idea and allows the students to work together as a team. When Mr. Paterson talked about how we should write our blog posts for "we" not "me" i realized that by writing a blog post for other people to understand, i would write certain topics more precisely so that it is understandable. He also mentioned how good bloggers, searchers and other professionals write unified paragraphs. My first thought was that writing one paragraph for one topic would be difficult since we would have to devise many ideas. However, i understood at the end, that when a whole paragraph is dedicated to one topic, it allows the idea to be more persuasive and lets the readers have various thoughts about the theme.

On march 7th Tuesday, the first lesson after the new era, we learned how to use the website "Blogger". However, since the WiFi was not working, it was difficult to catch up and get to the page. Although the internet was awfully slow, i was able to use the website. This website allows us to write our reflections for every class and i think that writing reflection are important things to do, because it enables us to look back and see what we thought about a specific topic or I can see how much I changed looking back at my own reflections. Therefore, I also think that keeping a diary is also essential; however, I know how having to do something every day is hard to do it continuously but the task that mr.paterson gave us made me think that this could be a beneficial habit.
