five feet apart chapter 2

I was surprised to see that Chapter 2 was told by the perspective from a boy called "Will Newman". which is the by that Stella comes of mind int the last part of Chapter 1. Will starts off by following Stella from his hospital room after seeing her beauty. Will seems to have a lot of interest in her and follows her to the CF where the newborn babies are. They start having a conversation. However, Stella has an attitude that leads to both of them not having a great first impression of each other. I discovered that Will also has CN but also diagnosed with B. cepacia. This depletes his lung function even faster.
Cystic fibrosis patients, cross-infection from certain bacteria strains is a huge risk. One-touch between two CFers and it can kill both of them. Therefore, will and Stella has to always stay 6 feet apart. At the end of chapter 2 will finds ut about Stellas Youtube videos and starts to binge-watch them and realize the difference in the way she acts.

10/7 2021 meatrix

     In small groups, we watched short clips of the “meatrix”. They unfold the truth behind factory farming and industrial agricultural practices. The meatrix included scenes of the movie matrix, and by adding humor they were able to attract a wider audience. As of right now, the clips are available in 11 languages, which does not include Japanese. As Mr.Paterson mentioned, cognition regarding current issues is low in Japan. Not only does the video explain the issues surrounding factory farming, but it also gives out information on what viewers can do. Moreover, each version of the meatrix followed the storyline of the actual movies, which I found enjoyable.        I found it interesting how Mr. Paterson referred to this class as taking the "red pill". 5/26 2021 Steven Donziger

     Steven Donziger, a lawyer who stood up to Chevron cooperation is currently under house arrest. For the last two decades, they have been battling over an oil spill that had happened in Ecuador. It blew my mind that Chevron was purposefully ignoring the situation because they knew that the people didn't have a voice. Eventually, he won an $18 billion case against the corporation. Yet, Chevron has not paid a single penny. Donziger has a serious following among environmentalists, and his supporters claim that he is being vilified for unmasking the truth of an inconsiderate decision. On the other hand, Chevron is trying to sue Donziger for manipulating evidence and has continuously painted him as nothing short of a criminal.  In this class, we were split into three groups, each searching articles of Steven Donziger in NYT, WP, and WSJ.
